Church History
Cornerstone Baptist Church was founded July 4, 1976, along with seventy-five charter members, by Dr. Dean Miller. There was tremendous growth in its first few years and we outgrew several buildings.
Through a very real miracle of Christ, a wealthy land owner donated twenty acres of some of the best land in the city. Our church currently sits on the highest point in the city of Colorado Springs.
July 4, 2004 Dr. Dean Miller, after 28 years of pastoring the Cornerstone Baptist Church graciously handed over to his son, Dr. Matt Miller, the pastorate. Under the vision of pastor Miller our church continues to grow. In 2005, we began construction on a new gymnasium/classroom building as well as tripled the number of paved parking spaces. Already we have a need to increase our parking lot capacity.
Currently we average over 350 in our Sunday School drive-in and over 150 in our bus ministry. We also have various outreach ministries furthering our influence in the city.
